Maria Camila Piñeros Joins Supply Chain Design Software Leader

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (January 27, 2015). LLamasoft, the global leader in supply chain design solutions, today announced even greater expansion in Latin America including new business initiatives in the Andean and Caribbean regions. With offices currently in Bogotá, Sao Paulo and Mexico City, LLamasoft is actively expanding its customer base and the influence of supply chain design throughout this high-growth region.

As part of this new effort LLamasoft has hired a new Business Development and Sales Director, Maria Camila Piñeros, to drive engagement and opportunities throughout Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, Panama and the Caribbean. Piñeros holds more than a decade of experience in the technology industry, most recently for Oracle in Colombia, and has developed and managed sales activities in region for multiple companies during this period.

The Andean region is a major focus for LLamasoft in 2015, with economic growth rates in the area increasing by upwards of four percent per year, and projections of growth near five to six percent for 2015, this is a market for opportunity for supply chain design technology and services.

“As the regional economies become more solid, and greater investments are made in infrastructure, safety and, technology, redesigning supply chain paradigms becomes more of a requirement for success,” said Managing Director for Latin America, Carlos Valderrama. “Supply chain modeling has been adopted by a growing number of multi-national companies within the Andean and Caribbean regions.  This is the moment we want to tap into the market with the right set of tools for the job.”

“LLamasoft is excited to even further expand our footprint in the Andean and Caribbean regions,” said Senior Vice President of International Sales Alejandro Nieto. “With a booming market and the growing importance of supply chain modeling, we look forward to providing value to more and more businesses.”
