CSCMP Roundtable in Review


February 27, 2007- Ann Arbor, MI

Dr. Donald Bowersox opened as a keynote speaker for the combined regional CSCMP roundtables on February 15, 2007 at the James B. Henry Center in Lansing, Michigan.

Dr. Bowersox who is well respected in the area of logistics and supply chain strategy pointed out that 21st century companies won’t succeed if they remain committed to 20th century best practices. Dr. Bowersox also stressed the urgency for Supply Chain Management Professionals to have cross-functional background and operational experiences.

David Closs Ph. D. from MSU and Ed Huller CSCMP Board Chair also spoke. Breakout sessions highlighted risk and volatility in supply chains and how to manage and reduce risk.
